Morning Habits with Gratitude

Every single personal development book has this in common. They all all say everything leads back to gratitude.

Focusing on gratitude will change your life.

It is a magic potion. It the habit that will shift you to a more positive mindset.

It is always a great time to practice gratitude. However, the best time is the morning.

Mornings are the time you are setting your intention for the day.

I have adopted the habit of meditating before I get out of bed. After I meditate I sit with my cup of coffee and write 5 things I am grateful for.

Examples:

  1. Grateful for the air I breathe
  2. Grateful for the bed I have slept in.
  3. Grateful for clean water I drink.
  4. Grateful for my family and friends.
  5. Grateful for the abundance of beauty outside my window.

It’s that simple.

You set the tone for your day. The more grateful you are the more you can understand the contrast that will come your way thru out the day.

The practice of gratitude will shift your mindset to more positive state.

“But TJ!”; some of you might say. “I have kids who wake me up or I am so busy in the mornings. I don’t have time to sit and write out what I am grateful for.”

I understand that.

How you chose to feel gratitude is up to you.

Personally, I didn’t immediately start writing down what I was grateful for.

I first adopted being grateful in the shower.

Then, I started being present as I walked to work about the things I would see that I was grateful for. (like the blue sky or a bird singing)

You can just take a moment at a red traffic light while driving to think of things to be grateful for.

It is really that easy. There are only right ways to be grateful and how you want to express it is up to.

Try including gratitude in the morning for 21 days.

And be present as your vibration starts to rise.
